Breaking A Cocoon
By Dale Speer
Once Angela finished her story about Dale and the remarkable transformation into Maureen, her friends were all transfixed with surprise. "Talk about bad living on the part of Dale," Jessica, their resident Sailor Mars, said, "I wouldn't even believe his family put him through such torture." "Yeah," Denise, who played Sailor Mercury, added, "I'm only too glad Selene intervened at the right time."
"So where is our Mako-chan now?" Lindsey, who played Sailor Pluto, asked. "She's with Sandra," Angela replied, "doing some shopping at Hastings. We needed to give her some anime and manga for her own collection. But we need to get her out and doing cosplay- this is why I summoned you here."
And Maureen, believe it or not, was having a wonderful time with just simply shopping for videos and books on a newfound hobby of hers- but Sandra, believe it or not, found a group of their cosplay friends buying more for their collections. She told them her story, and they were also surprised with her origins.
"She certainly does look like Mako-chan," Daniel, who plays their Tuxedo Kamen, added, "She could also make a very good Saint Tail, or even Sakura Kinomoto herself." "Yeah," Christa, their own Sailor Uranus, added- and all Sara, their own Sailor Neptune, could do was nod her head.
It was then that Maureen walked over with her basket full of stuff- graphic novels and videos of lots of different shoujo animes- and asked who she was talking to. Sandra grinned at Maureen. "Maureen, I'd like you to meet a few of my cosplay sisters. Girls, wanna introduce yourselves?" she asked the rest of her friends.
"Well," Daniel said, "I may not be a sister but I'm part of their group. My name's Daniel, and I'm the resident Tuxedo Kamen for them." "My name's Christa," the next one added, "and I'm Sailor Uranus." "And you may call me Sara. I am Sailor Neptune." the young woman replied. Sandra then cuddled up to Daniel. "This is my Mamo-chan!" she giggled.
"It's nice to meet you all," Maureen told them, "Would you like to come to my home for lunch since it's 12:30? I would like to get to know you all better." "I would be honored, Maureen," Christa replied. "So would I," Daniel added, "If my Usako wouldn't mind." Sara looked at Christa, got a nod, and turned back to Maureen. "We'd be honored to be your guests." she repled as Sandra grinned broadly at Daniel. "Of course I don't mind." she said happily. "The more the merrier!"
"Then I got an idea," Christa said, "Let's stop by our homes and get our costumes and my digital camera- and do a photoshoot out by the lake." "Sounds like a lovely idea." Sara said. "What time shall we meet up, Usagi-chan?" she asked Sandra, who thought about it for a moment. "2 hours sound good? Gives us time to change and drive out there." she asked the group. "After lunch, okay?" Maureen said, and Daniel agreed on that.
At Maureen's home, the kitchen staff knew that she always preferred salads for lunch over a big meal, saving it for dinner. So they got out the knives and mandoline slicers and started cutting up meats & vegetables and shredding up different kinds of lettuce for some large arranged salads for Maureen and their guests- of which, 4 were in the study planning something.
Denise was on her laptop computer, checking their e-mail when she found something from a young woman named Lisa... and it was a complete application for their Cosplay Group, complete with a picture of herself. "Minako-chan," she asked, "when did we put up that we were looking for someone to play Saturn?"
Angela frowned. "I don't think we did put it up." she answered honestly. "Why do you ask?" "We have a completed e-mail application from someone named Lisa," Denise told her, "and she specified that she wants to play Saturn. She even included a picture of herself in her application."
Jessica turned and looked at the picture same time Angela looked at it. "Nice resemblance." Jessica said after examining the picture. "We'll think about it, and discuss it with the rest of the group when they get back." Angela decided. "We need everyone's input." "Does this include our new Mako-chan?" Denise asked her leader. "But of course it does." she replied. "We can't leave out Mako-chan!"
Once the other 5 got home, Maureen went straight to the kitchen to see if lunch was ready while the others met in the study. "We were thinking of a photoshoot at the lake," Daniel said, "And it would be after lunch, in about 2 hours."
Angela chuckled. "We must think alike, Mamoru-san." she said. "As we had been thinking of the exact same idea." "But we have an unexpected surprise in our e-mail," Denise said, "Maureen, could I hook up to your printer and print off this one e-mail we got?"
"Weren't we looking for a Saturn?" Christa asked. "We were." Sandra replied. "But we never put it up on our website." "But somehow," Denise told them as she printed off the e-mail, "someone felt we were looking for one and sent us an application for membership, complete with their photo." She then passed it around to everyone starting with Sandra, who looked it over completely. "She certainly looks qualified. What do you think, Mamo-chan?" she asked, handing the sheet to Daniel.
Taking a look at it, Daniel also was surprised. "She definitely resembles Hotaru out of her fuku," he replied as he handed it to Christa, who agreed with Daniel in every sense before handing it to Sara.
"This is one of the best looking Hotaru-chan's that I've seen in a long while!" Sara said as she handed it to Jessica. "I agree as well." Jessica said as she read the actual information. "And she is close by as well." she noted before handing the sheet to Lindsey. "Your opinion, Pluto?"
The young woman took the sheet and read it, then just stared at the photo. "Wow." she said as she handed it back to Denise.
Peeking over Denise's shoulder, Maureen looked at the application and printed photograph. "I remember her," she replied, "in that she brought her computer into Mark's and had us set it and her home up for Cable Internet and a WiFi Router." "What did you think of her?" Sandra asked.
"Very kind young lady," Maureen replied, "I wasn't into anime at that time because it was before my transformation, so I couldn't connect her to Hotaru. But she was a very kind young lady who ran a successful sewing shop in the west wing of the shopping center." Angela grinned at that. "Sewing, eh?" she said. "That's a good thing for a cosplay member."
"Why don't we put off that photoshoot and send Maureen and a few others to her shop," Daniel suggested, "to check her out. Her store should be open now." "Sounds like a good idea." Sandra said. "How about Me, Maureen, and Daniel?" "That sounds reasonable," Denise said.
Sandra then stood up. "Should we go in school uniforms, or in regular clothes?" she asked. "Regular clothes," Maureen suggested, "I got my school uniforms a couple of days ago, and the skirts seem a little too long- definitely below the knees. I would like to take them in and have them altered to just above the knee."
"Ok." Sandra said. "I'm ready when you 2 are." "After lunch, okay?" Maureen asked, "Or else the salad bar my staff prepared will wilt!"
"Sounds good to me. Lunch that is." Angela said. All of them agreed on that, and they went to the dining room to feast on chef salad prepared the way they like it and hot rolls and breadsticks.
"And here I thought we couldn't get this good of food without going to a restaurant!" Denise said, "Your staff are some excellent cooks, Maureen-chan!" "Thank you!" she replied. "This is delicious!" Jessica said as they all gorged on the salad.
After 2 big plates of salad, Maureen went up to her bedroom with a plastic bag and got out the skirts of the uniforms she got- then she took a long look at the costume of Sailor Jupiter in her closet. "Daniel said to put off the photoshoot until later," she thought, "But let's do it later today- and do it here, using the staircase and the pool as our backdrops." She then walked downstairs and found Sandra and Daniel ready to go.
It didn't take them more than 5 minutes to drive to the shopping center, and soon they were in "Lisa's Sewing Boutique" looking around. Sandra walked up to the counter where the young woman she recognized from the picture stood. "Lisa I assume?" she asked.
Lisa, the young woman who operated the store, said, "Welcome. How is it I can help you?" Maureen stepped up to the counter and said, "I got my school uniforms a couple of days ago and noticed that the skirts on both were below my knees. Could you alter them to knee-height?" "Of course," she said before asking for the young woman's name. "Maureen Roberts," she replied.
Daniel was looking on the repair racks when he saw 2 costumes in the storage area. He would ask about them later on... but it was Sandra's hairdo that drew Lisa's attention as she remarked, "I hope that isn't a wig you're wearing, miss." "As a matter of fact, it isn't." Sandra said proudly. "This is my very own hair."
"Wow," Lisa said, "If I had to admit, you 3 look very much like characters out of my favorite animated series, Sailor Moon!" "We have some questions of you," Daniel replied, "If you wouldn't mind." "Of course not," Lisa replied, "Fire away while I get these 2 skirts repaired."
"Well," Daniel said, "Who would be your favorite animated character that you'd want to dress up as?" "That's simple," Lisa replied, "If you look on the back rack, you will notice 2 costumes. Those are of the same character, Sailor Saturn- and she's my favorite one."
"We've heard from the Shoujo Alliance that you put in an application to play her." Sandra mentioned casually. "Why do you like Hotaru so much?" "Now there's a surprising question," Lisa said, "It's because before I opened this shop up, I used to be an EMT in New York City." "And you admire Hotaru for her ability to heal?" Sandra inquired. "Yes," Lisa replied, "So much, that I loved her abilities more than many of the others, save Sailor Moon's." "A healer," Maureen said, "Now that's surprising."
"And you enjoy cosplay, if you wanna join the Alliance. So, how'd you get into cosplay?" Sandra then asked the seamstress. "My friends got me into it," Lisa replied, "I was surrounded with 4 other friends that loved to play the Outer Senshi and Sailor ChibiMoon. In fact, it was our ChibiUsa that remarked I looked so much like Hotaru." "But you didn't create a group with them?" Sandra asked. "We thought that we would have had to do the Inner Senshi if we formed a group," Lisa replied, "So we did cosplay on our own terms, but left ourselves open to other groups. Eventually, the trio that played Sailors Uranus, Neptune and Pluto were picked up by a large cosplay group and we lost touch with them, so it was me and ChibiUsa-chan that kept it going."
"I'm sorry to hear that." Sandra said sincerely. "So, why'd you choose Shoujo Alliance? Surely there are other better groups." "There are," Lisa replied, "But many of them are far away from here and I wanted to stay where I lived."
Sandra looked at Daniel with a mischievious gleam in her eye. "How much do you know about the alliance?" "Not much," she replied, "I visited their website, saw the photos of the 8 members and noted they didn't have a ChibiUsa, Saturn or Jupiter. It was that photo that led me to apply for Sailor Saturn." "Have you heard from them yet?" she asked then.
"Not yet," Lisa replied, "I put my application in this morning before coming to the store. I have to check my e-mail once home to find out if they will accept me." "Don't even bother." Sandra said. "They've already found their Saturn."
Lisa's face was full of surprise when Sandra remarked that... but then her mind flashed back to the site's homepage, and the picture on it. "Sandra?" she asked, surprise in her face. Sandra tried to hold back her grin, but as usual, wasn't able to. "Hai. I was never one to be able to hold a straight face." she commented.
She then turned to Daniel and said, "So you're their resident Tuxedo Kamen?" "That's right," Daniel replied. "He's my Mamo-chan!" Sandra said, hugging Daniel. "So what does that make you?" Lisa then asked Maureen. "Which of the 3 missing Senshi would you think I am," she then said... then responded affirmatively when Lisa said she looked like Mako-chan.
"Where does your ChibiUsa-chan live?" Sandra asked the newest member. "She has an apartment below mine," Lisa said, "and she has tried to get me to share hers. I know I shouldn't be open Christmas Day, but I couldn't help it in that I was going to get some repairs done on my Myu-Saturn costume." "Myu-Saturn?" Maureen asked.
"After you finish, would you like to meet up with us for a photoshoot we're gonna have?" Sandra asked her new friend. "Why don't we team up and do a costume for Maureen," Lisa suggested, "I think she would look lovely as Myu-Jupiter - and the same for you, Sandra, as Myu-Moon."
Without waiting for an answer from Sandra, Lisa took off for the back and closed the gate electronically and got a tube along with a set of keys from her desk. Locking the gate, she then pulled out the paper within the tube, revealing a set of pattern pieces for the Sera-Myu Senshi outfit. "How long does it take for you to make?" Sandra inquired. "A day by myself," Lisa told her, "Less if I have help."
She then rushed around and got 2 bolts of white Jet material and 4 other bolts of other colors and set them by her cutting board. She then set one bolt of white on it and pulled out a yard of the 60in. material before cutting and folding it on the width, creating a crease. "Anything we can do to help? I love making costumes!" Sandra said. "Hand me the piece marked 'Leotard Front'," Lisa said.
Once it was in her hands, Lisa set it on both the crease and the selvage before asking for the 'Leotard Back' piece and setting it opposite the front. Cutting the 2 pieces out with a sharp wheel cutter, Lisa then asked Daniel to get some white polyester thread and a 15in. zipper from the back room.
"Does Maureen have any heeled shoes?" Lisa asked, to which their Jupiter replied that she didn't. "I can take her shopping for some while Mamo-chan stays here to help you." Sandra offered. "Do so," Lisa said, "but exit by the back door so as not to arouse any suspicion." "Gotcha." Sandra said.
Once they were outside the store, Maureen asked, "Why did she ask if I had any heeled shoes?" "For the Myu-Jupiter costume she's making you." Sandra replied as she steered Maureen to the nearest shoe store. Once in the shoe store, they looked for the lowest heel shoe they could find in her size- and they found a green one that fit the profile they needed. Once the pair was paid for, they headed back to the shop by the service entrance. "Ahh, excellent," Lisa replied as she glanced at the shoes, "These will give her the right kind of boots for her outfit."
Maureen looked at the adjustable dummy in the corner and saw what looked like the costume she had in her closet... but this one had gold ribbing and trim on every piece of it. The flap even looked rigid, like it wouldn't even move with the wind.
Sandra saw Maureen's gaze. "You ok Maureen?" Sandra asked her. "Yes," she replied, "It's just... I've never seen a costume this beautiful before."
"The pattern I got out was the official one for the Sera-Myu SuperSailor Senshi," Lisa said, "Sera-Myu is shorthand for the Musicals in Japan based on Sailor Moon." "Angela and I have it back at home. All the Sera-Myu that has been produced on DVD." Sandra commented. "Remind me later to show them to you."
It was then that Denise and Christa were walking by the front of the store and noticed their trio inside... and a beautiful costume on the mannequin. "Are those your friends, Sandra?" Lisa asked. Sandra looked out the window and saw them. She nodded her head and motioned the 2 girls inside. "Hai, that they are." she replied with a smile.
Once they were inside, Denise said, "Now why didn't you come back to the house when you were finished, the 3 of you." It was then that Lisa said, "I asked them to stay and help me with 2 costumes, of which you see one on the mannequin."
They looked over to Maureen, who was still transfixed with surprise at the costume on the dummy. "Still, that isn't an excuse for being late!" Christa added. "We were busy, so there." Sandra, as Usagi, said in a whine.
Before anyone else could say anything, the rest of the Alliance arrived in the small sewing shop... and Jessica was glaring at Sandra. "What are you doing Usagi-baka?" she said.
"I...I...I am..." she starts before Sara finished for her with "You were procrastinating. As usual." she said firmly. Angela frowned as she added, "Don't tell me you were playing without me."
It was then that Lisa felt angered and leaped to her defense. "She wasn't procrastinating," she said, "I asked them to stay behind... look at what Maureen's looking at, and you'll understand why." "I still don't think pretty costumes are a reasonable excuse." Lindsey stated. With that, Sandra started to pout and sank to her knees. "Then I shouldn't have put my application in," Lisa said, "If this is how you treat those that help me put that costume together." Angela giggled as she said, "We always pick on each other. Is good practice."
Christa suddenly whirled around and looked at the woman. "You're Lisa?" she asked in surprise. Denise turned around and mentally pictured the photo from the e-mail. "Now I understand," she said, "We didn't just aquire another cosplayer- but a costume designer."
"Now," Lisa said, "Unless you want me to rip up the Myu-Jupiter costume I just made for your friend Maureen- with the help of Sandra and Daniel- you better have some more respect for them." It was then that a soft giggle was heard from Sandra. "Is okay, Hotaru-chan." she said, getting to her feet. "They meant no harm. Seriously, we do it all the time. Keeps us sharp." Lindsey smiled at Lisa and nodded her head in agreement.
"That's not how I interpreted it," Lisa replied as she sat back at the machine and re-started sewing the boots together, "The way I see things, they were serious when they started yelling at you." "What Lisa said before that is the truth," Daniel said, "She asked us to help her create a Sera-Myu version SuperSailor Jupiter for Maureen. This is why we were late getting back." Angela smiled, getting back into character as she hugged her sister while saying, "Well, if Mamoru-sama says it's ok, then its ok."
"Besides," Lisa added, "Why not put that photoshoot you were planning off for a couple of days and then surprise your website with a whole-new look... courtesy of me. There's plenty of sewing machines around, and material too." "Are you thinking of a Sewing Party?" Denise asked her, "Now that I could go for!"
"Party?" Angela and Sandra said in unison, then cheered, showing their approval of the idea. Sara smiled as she added, "That is a logical idea. I agree." "Make that me too," Christa added. "We can even start working on a skit for the next convention." Jessica said eagerly. "If people can help me learn how to sew," Maureen said, "that's something I could go for- and maybe you should tell Angela about your friend."
Angela cocked her head. "Friend?" she asked. "When I was in my early years as a cosplayer," Lisa told her, "I developed a friendship with another girl who could act ChibiMoon out like she was born for her." "Perhaps we should get ChibiUsa in here," Maureen suggested, "Let her get to know all of us." "Now there's a good idea," Denise added. "I'd love to meet my future daughter." Sandra said with a smile.
So Lisa walked back to her office and closed the door before picking up the telephone. She dialed Jennifer's number and waited for an answer... and after 2 rings, a voice said, "Hello?"
"Hi, Jennifer," Lisa said, "How would you like to come down to the store and we have ourselves a sewing party." "Sure," she replied, "I'd love to." "Make sure that you bring your 2 ChibiMoon costumes," Lisa added, "as I know they're in serious need of repairs." "See you there!" Jennifer finished with, and they hung up the phones. Once back outside, Lisa said, "She's on her way down here."
"This is gonna be so awesome!" Sandra said happily, "Finally, a complete Alliance! This is gonna kick butt!!!" "I totally agree, Usagi-chan!" Angela said. Lindsey smiled wisely while Sara smiled serenely.
Lisa then walked into her office and broke out 2 stacks of $20s, giving them to Angela and Sandra. "Angela," she said, "we may need some more material so stop by JoAnn Fabrics and get 4 more bolts of white Jet material- and Sandra, we may need some pizza for dinner, so head over to Pizza Hut and get 4 large pizzas." "Include a salad in that order for me," Maureen said.
"Any other special orders?" Sandra asked the group. "What about ideas for types of pizza?" "One Meat Lovers for me!" Denise said, and Christa agreed on that. "I like everything on mine." Jessica piped in, and Angela also expressed the same interest of a Supreme. "I like just plain cheese." Sara mentioned, while Lindsey replied that she would eat whatever was in front of her. "What about a Chicken Supreme?" Daniel suggested.
With all the orders in mind, Sandra headed to the nearest Pizza Hut to manually place the order. Along with the 5 large pizzas, she ordered plenty of drinks, including ice tea, lemonade, Pepsi, and Diet Pepsi. Also cheesy, plain, and cinnamon breadsticks were ordered. After placing the large order, Sandra sat down to start working on ideas for the skit while she waited.
Angela, on the other hand, went to yet another shopping center. At the large Jo-Ann's, she sought out the help of the manager of the store, one of her college classmates and friends. "Erika, I have a large order here. Think you can help me?" she asked as she handed the young woman the list she carried. "But of course!" Erika, the strawberry blonde replied. "I always have what you need." So, taking the list, the 2 worked throughout the store and picked up neccessary items besides the 4 bolts of cloth. Once done and at the register, Erika turned to the cashier and told him to only charge for 3 bolts, as the fourth was free.
Angela nodded her head in thanks as she paid the cash to the young man. Erika even went so far as to help take the items to her friend's car. Once loaded, Angela grinned and hugged her friend. "Thank you again." she said, and got the answer of "It was my extreme pleasure." as a reply. "Just make sure you come back here for all your needs. If you get me the list before you need it, I'll pre-order it on discount for ya." "Will do. Thanks a million times over." Angela said and waved to her friend as she headed back to where the Alliance was.
It was when the sisters arrived that their other guest, a woman who wore her black hair up in cone-shaped hairpieces on her head, was already there. "Sandra, Angela," Lisa said in introduction, "this is my friend Jennifer."
"It is a pleasure to meet you both," the young woman of 18 years said to them. Sandra and Angela both bowed low. "Iie. It is our pleasure to meet you." Angela said. Sandra went up to the young woman and said "Hello, daughter."
"Come on," Lisa told them, "Like I said, there's plenty of sewing machines to go around, and everyone has a duty for this party... even Maureen!" The sisters saw their new Makoto sewing together an anime costume of her character. So with all the supplies needed in house, the complete Shoujo Alliance got down to the serious work and fun of sewing. With the added pleasures of laughter, pizza, and bouncing around of skit ideas, the group made the sewing party last for over 16 hours. By the time the costumes were all complete, the room was a mess but the spirits were high. With the agreement to leave the costumes in the shop, the group headed to their homes for much needed sleep and relaxation.
With Maureen's internet skills, they posted an announcement on the website of the photoshoot- and a professional photographer heard of it and offered his services. Within 2 weeks, a new design was up for the world to see of the Shoujo Alliance... a full group, with the Sera Myu outfits on.
But believe it or not, Maureen was in the art room a week later with a surprise subject... Sandra, all decked out as Princess Serenity with the Crescent Moon Wand on the hem of her skirt, posed like Usagi was when the Moon Princess was revealed. In 5 hours time, she finished a grand painting and presented it to her, with her Artist's Signature on the bottom. Sandra smiled once the portrait was done. "It's beautiful!" she exclaimed. "Just as you are," Maureen replied before hearing the phone ring twice and picking it up.
"Hey, where are you?" Denise nearly shouted into the phone, "We're about to begin our photoshoot!" "Cool your jets, Ami-chan," Maureen replied, "I just finished up a surprise for Sandra. We're getting my costumes together and going." Once she hung up the phone Maureen said, "We've better hurry or the others will be chewing us out for weeks on end!" "Hai Hai." Sandra said, staying in costume as she gathered the rest of what she needed for the shoot. "Let's head out, Mako-chan, before we get in trouble." she then said.
So they gathered everything together and drove out to the lake to begin their photoshoot. Christa was behind her camera as she started with the others before the duo arrived- and they were ready to chew them out until they saw the painting in the car. "I think that's a good reason to be 5 hours late for a photoshoot," Denise said, "I didn't even realize that Maureen was also a world-class painter." "Hai," Christa replied, "That is one elegant painting you did, Mako-chan." "Hai, I agree with world class." Sara said in awe. "She rivals Michiru-chan." "Thank you, everyone," Maureen replied. "Well, now that everyone is finally here," Jessica stated, "Shall we finish the shoot?"
But before anyone could respond to that, a limo pulled up next to everyone's cars. "What the..." Sandra said in surprise.
"Sumimasen!" shouted a male voice from the car before a telephoto lens came up and shot a picture of the group before the photographer got out of it... followed by a very recognizable young woman.
Sandra was the first to walk up to the duo from the limo. She went immediately into a deep bow. "Naoko-sama, You honor us with your presence." Naoko smiled at her main character as she replied, "Iie, Selenity-hime. It is MY honor to be in front of 10 princesses and a Prince."
Everyone in the group, save Maureen, walked up and bowed before the famed Mangaka. Why Maureen didn't was because she didn't know the woman in their presence. Naoko looked at the only woman not in a bow. "Is everything alright, Princess Jupiter?" she asked. "It's just... it's just that I do not know you, ma'am," she said in a trembling voice.
Sandra slowly got up from her bow and looked at her. "This, Mako-chan, is the wonderful woman who created our characters. Takeuchi Naoko, the genius who created SailorMoon!" Sandra replied in awed tones. Maureen then walked up and bowed at the waist in the presence of the woman. She still didn't know how to treat her, but now she respected her because of Sandra's explanation.
It was then that Christa walked up and told Naoko, "Maureen Roberts is still a child when it comes to anime and manga, Naoko-sama - but when it comes to painting and internet publishing, she can rival even Michiru-chan." Sara then pulled the painting from the car and showed it to the mangaka- who was pleasently surprised. "This work is truly amazing, Mako-chan. Truly!" she exclaimed.
"May I ask why you have joined us here, Naoko-sama?" Lindsey asked their idol. Naoko turned to the Senshi of Time. "I saw your website. I was impresed with the work done, so I decided to see what the offical senshi photographer could do with this full senshi team." She gestured to the man who had accompianed her.
"I want to do pictures of you in your final poses after henshin," he said, "to start out with. We'll work from there once done. "Sounds like fun!" Jessica said. So while the photographer set up, Sandra quickly changed from her princess gown and into her fuku to match the others. "We're ready when you are, sir!" Angela said once Sandra had rejoined them.
"We'll save Sandra for last," the photographer said, "since she has 5 full poses, including 1 with ChibiUsa." "Hai Hai!" The Moon Princess replied. So, starting with Lisa and finishing with Denise, the court got their shots in first. Then, it was Jennifer's turn as she did the first of only 2 shots... and then Sandra stepped in front of the lens.
As Maureen watched all of the events unfold, she asked the photographer if he was using a digital camera. "Of course, ojou-sama," he answered, "Did you want a copy of the pictures of your own?" "For our website, kind sir," she replied. Naoko watched with pride as her manga came to live in this group of young cosplayers. She was most amazed at how each one performed like naturals in front of the lens. Each looked and acted like the princesses they were.
