When Writer's Block Sets In... Invent Something New

Yes, you read the title of my latest Corner correctly.

Just about every FanFiction writer has moments when they can't even think of something to write about in a story or series. That is the definition of writer's block, and as a fellow FanFiction writer I've experienced it dozens of times when I'm writing something new in the realms of anime, Sentai and even Power Rangers. When that happens, I go browsing a few websites looking for something to jog my creative juices and be able to continue writing... and sometimes, that browsing will develop something new for both authors and readers.

That's just what happened when I browsed a few Sailor Moon websites and found something specific on them... a button or link that read Cosplay. Reading the pages and looking at the pictures, I was astounded at the wide variety of characters the website owners portrayed- and from there, my creative juices were so jogged that a whole new genre of FanFiction was practically invented in the form of the first story, A First Time For Everything. These days, I will spend a few hours working on a cosplay fanfiction story as exercise for when I shift gears and write in my other genres- whether it's standard cosplay or something in the Twisted area, you'll find my touch in what I write.
